The Future Land Use Plan balances the existing development patterns with desired patterns of development for the future.
The proposed Land Use Plan recognizes the City’s recent and potential growth, its role as a regional retail and service destination, and its potential to serve new commercial and residential growth with water and sewer.
The Plan also opens the door for more flexibility in development types and infill development opportunities.
Additionally, the Plan opens the potential to create a “New Town Center” consisting of a mix of uses to create a vibrant area of new commercial and residential growth for the City.
